| Böhmisk-Dansk Folketone er et lejlighedsværk, skrevet for strygeorkester i 1928 af Carl Nielsen til fejring af 10-årsdagen for grundlæggelsen af republikken Chechoslovakia, uropført af det dengang unge Statsradifoniens Symfoniorkester.
De to anvendte folkemelodier er den tjekkiske folkemelodi "Teče voda teče", der skal have været præsident Thomas Masaryks yndlingssang, og den danske folkevise "Dronning Dagmar" |
Bohemian Danish Folksongs was a commisioned work to celebrate the tenth
anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Chechoslovakia, written in 1928
for string orchestra, first performance by the then young Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
The used melodies are the moravian folksong "Teče voda teče", the favorite songof the first president of Chechoslovakia, Thomas Masaryk, and the danish medievalballad "Queen Dagmar lies ill in Ribe". |
